Illuminates trucks, tractors, and road trains: Rostec developed the ST-2640 inspection complex

The equipment was installed at the checkpoint of one of the nuclear industry enterprises

The stationary inspection and screening complex (IDC) ST-2640, developed by specialists from the enterprises "Toriy" and "Scantronik Systems" (part of Rostec), was put into operation at the entrance checkpoint of one of the nuclear industry enterprises. This was reported by the state corporation's press service.

The ST-2640 is designed for inspecting large vehicles: trucks, tractors, and industrial road trains. With its help, security personnel can quickly check cargo, identify prohibited items, and determine the presence of threats.

ST-2640 characteristics:

  • recognizes 4 groups of materials
  • illuminates through 460 mm of steel
  • generates X-ray images in HD and UltraHD
  • throughput – up to 25 vehicles/hour
  • personnel – 2 people

Rostec's development can detect even a 0.8 mm diameter wire behind a steel shield. The complex will help to see people hiding in the truck. The use of ST-2640 will increase the level of security at the strategic facility without reducing the inspection speed.
