Kineshma Auto Components Plant "KAC" (formerly "Avtoagregat") is preparing for commissioning a full-cycle suspension spring production workshop. Investments in the project have reached 800 million rubles, of which over 250 million were provided by the Industrial Development Fund. The enterprise intends to process 6 thousand tons of metal annually and produce up to 1.5 million springs.
The range of consumers covers almost all car assembly plants in Russia: products are shipped to Lada, Aurus, UAZ, Cherry, Haval, and other concerns. Currently, the plant's staff exceeds 500 people, and with the introduction of the new line, another 150 jobs will be added.
The key technological advantage of the project is the creation of a blank production for spring wire, which did not exist in Russia until now. Previously, the entire volume of wire was purchased through imports, which became critical after the arrival of major Chinese automakers with growing demands on the market.
The first samples of springs made from domestic raw materials and with the necessary characteristics are expected at the end of June, after which they will be sent for testing to customers. In fact, the Kineshma plant closes the entire chain – from wire to finished product, removing the automotive industry's dependence on imported special steel.
