The warm start to May quickly changed demand in Moscow and the Moscow region. Residents of the capital began to buy air conditioners, fans, and other home cooling devices more actively. At the same time, the queue for installation and maintenance of climate control equipment grew. This was reported by analysts from Wildberries and Avito Services.
In the first days of May, sales of mini air conditioners more than doubled compared to last year. Demand for split systems increased by 56%. And if we look at the entire period from January to May, sales of such systems more than doubled.
More simple solutions for heat also became more actively purchased. Sales of fans and sun protection films for windows increased by approximately 15%, and air purifiers were purchased twice as often.
At the same time, experts note that large purchases such as split systems are usually planned in advance. Therefore, their growth is more stable and is not only associated with a sharp warming.
Against the backdrop of warm weather, demand for master services also noticeably increased. According to Avito Services, in late April - early May, interest in air conditioner installation in Moscow and the Moscow region increased threefold compared to last year.
In the Moscow region, the dynamics were even higher: maintenance and repair of cooling systems began to be ordered four to five times more often. Demand for cleaning and diagnostics of relevant equipment noticeably increased.
