Photos of Russian Nuclear Submarine with "Oniks" Missiles off Cuba Spark Rumors Online

The visit of the "Kazan" submarine of Project 885M took place in July 2024

Reports have appeared on social media about a new arrival of the Russian nuclear submarine "Kazan" of Project 885M in Havana harbor. The publications were accompanied by photographs of the submarine off the coast of Cuba and caused a lively discussion online.

However, the Russian Embassy in Cuba officially denied this information. The diplomatic mission stated that the photos were taken back in July 2024, when Northern Fleet ships indeed visited the Island of Freedom.

Despite wishing it were true, reports of the arrival of a Russian nuclear submarine are not accurate.
