Million-Dollar Scam: Schoolboy Buys PVD to Steal Video Cards

A 16-year-old resident of the Leningrad Region is accused of large-scale fraud

In the Leningrad Region, the investigation into an unusual fraud case has been completed, with a 16-year-old teenager as the main suspect. According to the investigation, the schoolboy bought a pickup point (PVD) and then used it to steal expensive video cards.

As reported by the regional department of the Investigative Committee, the teenager entered into a purchase and sale agreement for a PVD located in Sertolovo, Vsevolozhsky District. After that, he placed an order for video cards worth more than 1 million rubles through accounts in a mobile application registered to unidentified individuals.

The accused had no intention of paying for the goods. He specified his own pickup point as the delivery location, waited for the equipment to arrive, and then secretly took the video cards and disposed of them at his discretion.

The investigation believes that as a result of these actions, the commercial organization suffered damages totaling over 1 million rubles.

The teenager has been charged with large-scale fraud. The criminal case has already been sent to court.
