Krasnoyarsk CHPP-3 is starting the modernization of the gas treatment system for the KVTK-100-150-6 hot water boiler. The work is being carried out by the Yenisei TGC branch (part of the Siberian Generating Company).
The station is designing a two-stage gas treatment system. Instead of the existing multicyclone units for dust collection, modern composite modules will be installed. The updated equipment is expected to be operational in the first quarter of 2027. The design phase is currently underway, and construction and installation work will begin after a positive expert opinion is received.
Krasnoyarsk CHPP-3 is one of the most modern solid-fuel power plants in Russia. At the end of 2025, the second power unit of domestic production was put into operation here. Simultaneously, an electrostatic precipitator with a gas cleaning efficiency of 99.7% was launched; a similar solution is already operating on the first unit. The total capacity of the station reached 393 MW. In the first quarter of 2026, electricity generation increased by 45% – from 344 to 465 million kWh.
The modernization of gas treatment at CHPP-3 is part of the Siberian Generating Company's systemic program to reduce environmental impact, which has been implemented since 2018.
