The Internet Can Fail: Sber Issued Instructions in Case of Disruptions

Branches, ATMs, and the contact center operate as usual

Sber recommended clients switch to Wi-Fi in advance and set up alternative login methods for applications amid possible mobile internet restrictions. The bank warned that in the coming days, some regions might experience brief disruptions in communication and SMS delivery.

Against this backdrop, difficulties with logging into Sberbank Online and SberBusiness, as well as delays in operation confirmation codes, are possible. The company emphasizes that such situations are not related to internal failures but to unstable network operation.

Sent SMS codes are not lost – they are saved in the transaction history and become available after the connection is restored. SberBusiness users are additionally advised to enable PIN code or QR code login in advance.

Meanwhile, the bank's offline infrastructure operates as usual: branches, ATMs, and the contact center are available.

Earlier, other banks also warned about possible mobile internet and SMS restrictions. Since May 5, communication disruptions have been recorded in Moscow and St. Petersburg – users report problems with access to applications and online services.
