Bury-10 drone receives new software after Investigative Committee intervention

Modernized communication system implemented in Buryat drone

Aerokom company has updated the software (SW) of the Bury-10 vertical take-off and landing (VTOL) drone after a complaint from a serviceman and an inspection by law enforcement agencies. This was reported by the press service of the government of Buryatia.

New communication and control systems have been developed for the Bury-10, which will be able to operate in combat conditions. Tests of the modernized drone were conducted in the 36th Army, the press service added.

The Head of Buryatia, Alexey Tsydenov, stated that the software of every UAV would be replaced.

And the claim against the management of "Aerokom", which developed the "Bury-10", is that they installed not the software that was declared and presented.

The software was used for civilian drones. With this firmware, the Bury-10 drone delivered medicines, monitored nature reserves, "so they bet on it," the head of the region explained.

Aerokom specialists developed the Bury-10 drone in 2021. In 2023, the company signed an agreement with ANO "Sodeystvie" for the supply of drones to the Russian Armed Forces.

In January 2025, it became known about a complaint from a serviceman who claimed that the capabilities of the Bury-10 did not correspond to the declared technical characteristics. The Investigative Committee initiated a corresponding check.

In October 2025, Viktor Yankov, the CEO of Aerokom, was arrested. He was accused of large-scale fraud (Article 159 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation) - embezzlement of budget funds allocated for the supply of UAVs to the troops.
