700 Million at Stake: Vostochny Cosmodrome Sues Roscosmos Enterprise

Reasons for financial disputes between organizations are not disclosed

Three lawsuits totaling 716.8 million rubles have been filed with the Moscow Arbitration Court. The plaintiff is the Vostochny Cosmodrome, and the defendant is the Center for Ground-Based Space Infrastructure Operation (TsENKI), which is part of the Roscosmos State Corporation.

The applications were registered on April 28, 2026. The largest claim amounts to 590.19 million rubles, with the other two being significantly smaller. The open case materials do not specify the reasons for the claims: the parties are not commenting on the substance of the disagreements until a decision is made.

These are not the first financial disputes between the enterprises. The court's database already lists two lawsuits filed by Vostochny against TsENKI in August 2025: for 3.1 billion and 738.36 million rubles. For the first of these, the next hearing is scheduled for July 3, 2026.

The total volume of current claims by the cosmodrome against the infrastructure center exceeds 4.5 billion rubles. All cases are at different stages of consideration.

Representatives of industry structures confirmed the fact of filing documents but refrained from providing details. They noted that the operation of launch complexes and the launch schedule remain unchanged: the lawsuits concern contractual settlements and do not affect the current work of the cosmodrome.

Earlier, "Perviy Tekhnicheskiy" reported that the construction of the Vostochny Cosmodrome in the Amur Region is expected to be completed by the end of 2026. This was stated by the head of Roscosmos, Dmitry Bakanov.
