The Ministry of Industry and Trade, together with the Ministry of Transport, is working to simplify the admission of civilian drones into airspace. This was stated by the head of the Ministry of Industry and Trade, Anton Alikhanov, at a meeting of the State Council Commission on "Industry," TASS reports. The work is being carried out within the framework of the national project "Unmanned Aircraft Systems."
Together with the Ministry of Economic Development, the reduction of administrative barriers when using UAS in control and supervisory activities is being considered. The Ministry of Industry and Trade has already prepared proposals for optimizing the procedures for certifying identifiers used to track flights of unmanned aircraft systems.
Separately, Alikhanov requested a report from his colleagues on plans for the localization of various types of engines for UAVs – without this, according to him, the full development of an independent industry is impossible.
In fact, the regulator is untying the hands of the civilian drone market. If currently every flight requires multi-stage approval, then after the proposed changes, operators will receive simplified access to airspace, and regulatory bodies will be able to use drones without excessive paperwork. The link to engine localization and identifier certification indicates that the concessions for airspace access await precisely those companies that integrate into the Russian component chain.
