Robot welders boosted production at DST-Ural plant: output grew by 60%

Robotic systems reduced defects to 1.8% and are expanding to new enterprises in the region

The implementation of robotic welding complexes at industrial enterprises continues in the Chelyabinsk region. According to the regional Ministry of Industry, process automation has increased production speed by approximately 60% and reduced the defect rate to 1.8%. The DST-Ural plant is cited as one example, where an internal "Center for Engineering Competencies" was initially established as an integrator of technological solutions. This enterprise became the first customer for the center's developments.

Today, 24 robotic complexes are already integrated into DST-Ural's production chains, involved in welding operations and assembly of equipment components. According to Gleb Tumanov, the center's director, the next stage involves expanding robotization to other enterprises in the region, including the Chelyabinsk Compressor Plant.

Denis Yalaltdinov, General Director of the Chelyabinsk Compressor Plant (ChKZ), reported that one of the robotic complexes is used for the production of frames and bases for compressor units. The second is planned to be used for welding long elements of agricultural machinery from the ChKZ AGRO series. Enterprises view the implementation of such systems as a way to accelerate production and increase the stability of technological processes in mass production.
