KAMAZ presented the "Lesnik" ecosystem: instead of 1100 imported machines - a harvester, a forwarder, and log trucks on the K5 chassis

All-wheel drive KAMAZ-65955 and the flagship KAMAZ-54901 were shown at a conference in Naberezhnye Chelny

PAO "KAMAZ" held a technical conference "KAMAZ Solutions for the Forestry Industry" in Naberezhnye Chelny, where it presented the full-cycle program "Lesnik". As CEO Sergey Kogogin stated, until 2022, about 1100 units of forestry equipment from leading global brands were imported into Russia annually. Now, the auto giant intends to cover the entire technological chain – from harvesting to hauling and auxiliary operations.

The exhibition included the KAMAZ-1010 harvester, the KAMAZ-1012 forwarder, and a log truck with a cargo manipulator device on the all-wheel drive KAMAZ-65955 chassis of the K5 generation. Also presented were the heavy-duty tractor unit KAMAZ-65956, whose production began in 2026, the all-wheel drive KAMAZ-65955 and KAMAZ-65954, as well as the flagship KAMAZ-54901. In parallel, allied factories showcased their superstructures, and the leasing company and service structures reported on ready financial and warranty products.

The reliance on its own K5 chassis provides unification in terms of engines, transmissions, and electronic systems, which is critical given the shortage of spare parts for the aging imported fleet. The technical readiness coefficient of forestries, according to Kogogin, has significantly decreased precisely due to maintenance problems and equipment downtime. The "Lesnik" program will offer not individual machines, but a holistic ecosystem, allowing for the abandonment of expensive and logistically vulnerable imports.
