A detachment of Pacific Fleet ships has returned to Vladivostok after a two-month long-distance voyage, covering over 12 thousand nautical miles and visiting ports in six countries of the Asia-Pacific region. The group included Project 20380 corvettes "Sovershennyy" and "Rezky", as well as the Project 160 medium sea tanker "Pechenga".
During the voyage, the crews completed a complex of combat training tasks in the waters of two oceans and five seas. Upon entering the Sea of Japan, the corvettes repelled simulated air attacks and destroyed naval drones, and in Peter the Great Bay, they conducted anti-submarine exercises with the involvement of a Ka-27 helicopter. The route included business calls to the ports of Georgetown (Malaysia), Thilawa (Myanmar), Visakhapatnam (India), Chittagong (Bangladesh), Sihanoukville (Cambodia), and Zhanjiang (China).
Pacific Fleet Commander Viktor Liina noted that during the voyage, the sailors demonstrated a high level of training, and foreign partners positively assessed the condition of the ships and the crews' proficiency. Traditionally, the corvette commanders were presented with roasted piglets, and distinguished servicemen received state and departmental awards. The families of the sailors attended the solemn welcoming ceremony on April 27.
The technical aspect of the voyage included practicing interaction within a heterogeneous group, logistics of supply in remote areas, and maintaining equipment readiness in tropical conditions.
The experience of these transitions is important for developing long-term deployment of fleet forces to ensure the security of maritime communications.
