Ground robot "Chelnok" for ammunition delivery handed over to Russian military

The automated platform is capable of overcoming water obstacles

The newest ground robotic system (NRTK) of high payload "Chelnok" was handed over to servicemen of the 12th Tank Regiment of the 4th Guards Tank Division of the "Zapad" group. This was reported by the press service of the Russian Ministry of Defence.

Operators have already begun testing the wheeled amphibian. It will be used for ammunition delivery, medical evacuation, and fuel delivery.

NRTK "Chelnok" is a high-cross-country platform. The robot overcomes rivers, streams, and other water obstacles.

It is equipped with onboard surveillance cameras for transmitting video signals to the operator.

"Chelnok" is capable of carrying up to 500 kg of cargo. The range is 20 km on a single charge. The NRTK is suitable for towing artillery pieces weighing more than 3.5 tons, including the D-30 howitzer. With its help, artillerymen can quickly change positions without involving additional equipment.
