The SPM plant (a partner of PAO KamAZ) has brought to market the medium-duty K5-generation truck, the KamAZ-53251 with a truck-mounted crane. Serial production of the 4x2 chassis began in 2025. The gross vehicle weight of the two-axle truck is 19 tonnes, and the chassis payload capacity is 12 tonnes. The model is focused on operation in the city and on short routes, where maneuverability and efficiency are important.
The new model received a cab on a four-point suspension with a low tunnel (170 mm) and a full-fledged sleeper berth. The equipment includes air conditioning, cruise control, a 10-inch onboard system, and other options. The vehicle is equipped with an economical 6-cylinder inline KamAZ engine with a displacement of 6.7 liters and an output of 307 horsepower, paired with a 9-speed manual transmission.
The flatbed platform measures 6245x2550x600 mm, with aluminum side panels and quick-release posts. The IKran RS1956 ACE truck-mounted crane provides a load moment of 19 tm, a lifting capacity of up to 8 tonnes, and a boom reach of up to 19 meters. The package also includes aluminum side protection and a rear underrun safety bar.
