Texas Instruments and AMD chips found in Geran-2 kamikaze drones

Components from Maxim Integrated were also found inside

Western electronic components, including processors and memory modules from American manufacturers, have been discovered in Geran-2 drones. This was reported by military expert Boris Rozhin, citing foreign sources.

According to them, the design uses Texas Instruments solutions, as well as components from AMD / Xilinx and Maxim Integrated.

The use of world-class civilian chips allows achieving high reliability at a relatively low production cost.

The microchips are responsible for the key functions of the drone — data processing, navigation, and flight control.

The memory stores routes and tasks, and the interface components ensure stable signal transmission between systems.
