Su-35S with an acceleration of 800 km/h in pitch outperformed the F-22 Raptor and F-35 Lightning II

Ruslan Pukhov: the fighter can withstand the fifth generation

The Russian Su-35S fighter of the "4++" generation surpasses all foreign fourth-generation fighters in terms of a combination of characteristics, including the Boeing F-15 and Lockheed Martin F-16, and in terms of combat parameters, the F-22 Raptor and F-35 Lightning II. This was stated by the head of the Center for Analysis of Strategies and Technologies (CAST), Ruslan Pukhov.

Pukhov recalled that the Su-35S modification carries the entire range of the most modern air-to-surface weapons.

Suffice it to say that the Su-35S surpasses the American fifth-generation fighter Lockheed Martin F-22 in terms of maneuverability, combat radius, as well as the range of detection and destruction of targets, and the superiority of the Su-35S is even more significant relative to the F-35.

Major General of Aviation Vladimir Popov noted that the Su-35 is capable of soaring sharply upwards at a speed of up to 800 km/h in pitch to attack an emerging target. The rocket engine only works for 10–15 seconds, so this "hill" allows you to save precious charge.

The Tekhnosfera Rossii publication, citing sources, reported that the Aerospace Forces in 2025 received from 14 to 20 Su-35S fighters.
