Russian sailors visited one of the main naval bases in China: Corvettes "Sovershenny" and "Rezky" entered the port of Zhanjiang

The Pacific Fleet showed footage of the mooring of Project 20380 ships

A detachment of ships of the Pacific Fleet (TOF), consisting of the corvettes "Sovershenny", "Rezky" (Project 20380) and the sea tanker "Pechenga" (Project 160), arrived in the port of Zhanjiang, which is located in the Chinese province of Guangdong. This was reported by the press service of the fleet.

After the ships moored, a welcoming ceremony took place. Russian sailors were met by employees of the Russian Embassy in China and representatives of the Navy of the People's Liberation Army of China (PLA).

During the stop in a foreign port, the crews of the ship detachment will take part in protocol events, as well as in a cultural and sports program.

Zhanjiang is one of China's main bases and a key base for surface ships and submarines for operations in the South China Sea. The headquarters of the Southern Fleet of the PLA Navy is located here. According to information from open sources, Type 055 destroyers, Type 075 universal landing ships, as well as supply ships are assigned to the naval base.
