USC Shipbuilders Switch to Domestic Buses: Amur Shipbuilding Plant Purchases New PAZ Citymax 9

Vehicles with a capacity of over 70 people will cover the need for transporting employees from remote areas

The Amur Shipbuilding Plant of USC has acquired two PAZ Citymax 9 buses manufactured by GAZ Group. The vehicles will be put into service in early May and will replace the transport leased from local carriers. The issue of transporting employees from remote areas of Komsomolsk-on-Amur has been repeatedly raised at meetings of the team with management, and since November 2024, the company, together with the corporation, has been working on the option of its own fleet.

Citymax 9 is a new generation model with increased aisle width and passenger capacity of over 70 people. The bus is equipped with a Russian-made diesel engine and is adapted for urban routes with high maneuverability. After passing inspection and licensing, the transport will be at the disposal of the plant.

The transition to its own rolling stock reduces dependence on rent and fluctuations in carrier tariffs, and also guarantees the stability of the schedule for work shifts. For an enterprise with a continuous shipbuilding cycle, the rhythmic delivery of personnel is a critical element of the production chain.
