The "Progress MS-34" cargo ship is preparing for launch from the Baikonur Cosmodrome, which is scheduled for April 26. Roscosmos specialists have completed the process of refueling the vehicle with fuel and compressed gases. After that, the ship underwent a control weighing and balancing, which is considered an important step before its launch into space.
In the coming days, engineers will dock the ship with the transfer compartment, conduct a final inspection, install the head fairing and connect "Progress" to the launch vehicle. These operations will be the final step before the launch.
On board the "Progress" are equipment for scientific experiments, food, medicines and essential items for the ISS crew. After docking with the station, the cargo will help ensure the continuous operation of the orbital laboratory and the comfort of the astronauts.
The launch of "Progress MS-34" will continue the regular supply program of the International Space Station. Roscosmos uses a proven delivery scheme: the automatic ship docks with the ISS in unmanned mode, which minimizes risks and increases the reliability of the mission. The successful completion of the current stage of preparation confirms the readiness of all systems for flight.
