Not Just Catching - Processing: Supertrawler "Captain Yunak" Handed Over to Fishermen

The vessel of project ST-192 45 is designed to catch over 60 thousand tons of fish per year

At the Admiralty Shipyards of the United Shipbuilding Corporation, the State Flag was raised on the large freezer fishing trawler "Captain Yunak" of project ST-192. The vessel was handed over to the customer — the Russian Fishery Company — and it is ready to work in the Far Eastern basin. This is the fifth trawler in the series built under the investment quota program.

The trawler is designed for catching pollock and herring with a full cycle of processing the catch directly on board. Project ST-192 today is the largest domestic large freezer fishing trawler in active operation. Each vessel in the series is designed for an annual catch of over 60 thousand tons of fish. Fishing is carried out in the Sea of Okhotsk and the Bering Sea.

The designers have incorporated increased production capacity, enhanced safety, environmental friendliness, and improved conditions for the crew into the new generation of trawlers. The autonomy of navigation reaches 45 days.
