A plant for the production of hot-rolled shaped sections will be built in Bolshoy Kamen, Primorsky Krai, which will begin operations by 2030. The project is being implemented by RM-Steel, which expects to produce up to 50 thousand tons of metal annually.
The investment in construction is estimated at 2.7 billion rubles. Initial calculations were made in 2024, so in the near future the financial indicators of the project will be recalculated taking into account current prices for equipment and building materials. The procedure for obtaining a building permit has already been launched. The project documentation passed a non-state examination without comments and received a positive conclusion.
Special profiles for mechanical engineering and shipbuilding industries will be manufactured on the production lines.
According to developers, the launch of the enterprise will close half of the needs of the regional engineering market and fully provide local shipyards with metal.
Construction work will begin immediately after all permits are issued. The completion of the construction of workshops and the commissioning of equipment are scheduled for 2030. After the launch, the plant will become the main supplier of structural materials for shipyards in the Far East and will accelerate the localization of critical components.
