The domain registrar "Ru-Center" has launched the identification of domain administrators — legal entities — through the ESIA system, the company reported.
This concerns the .ru, .rf, and .su domain zones. From September 1, 2026, identification via ESIA will become mandatory — without it, managing domains will be impossible. This applies to both new and already registered domains.
As explained in "Ru-Center", companies will now be able to manage business domains using a verified account on the "Gosuslugi" portal. The mechanism, according to the company, was implemented in a short time due to new legislative requirements.
Since 2024, similar identification has already been available for individuals. In December 2025, such a mechanism was introduced by the registrar "Reg.ru", which, together with "Ru-Center", is part of the "Runiti" group.
"Reg.ru" also reported that they plan to launch a similar solution for legal entities in the spring of 2026.
