Want to go to space? Log in to Gosuslugi: Roscosmos has opened online recruitment for the cosmonaut corps

Applications are being accepted until June 30

Roscosmos has for the first time opened acceptance of applications to the cosmonaut corps through the Gosuslugi portal. You can submit an application for the remote selection stage until June 30, 2026, the Russian Ministry of Digital Development reports.

The requirements are strict: Russian citizenship, age up to 35, height 150–190 cm, weight 50–90 kg, higher education in a specialty from the approved list, and at least three years of work experience. One foreign language is mandatory — English, Italian, Spanish, German, or French.

The selection process is multi-stage: after the remote application come a medical examination, an in-person stage at the Cosmonaut Training Center, physical standards, tests, and an interview.

Anyone who passes all stages signs an employment contract with the Cosmonaut Training Center and begins training.

Moving the selection process to Gosuslugi lowers the bureaucratic entry barrier — previously, the path to the application form began with a much more complicated procedure of applying directly to the agency.
