The Federal Tax Service officially refuted reports of a technical failure when submitting 3-NDFL declarations and forming a false debt on a single tax account. The press service of the department stated that the personal account and all related services are operating normally. In January-March 2026, taxpayers sent 4.8 million declarations with deductions and 1 million applications in a simplified manner, two-thirds have already been verified.
The main reasons for refusals are incorrect filling and lack of supporting documents. The Federal Tax Service separately highlighted typical errors: when submitting an updated declaration, it is necessary to include all previously declared deductions, otherwise part of the refund will not be taken into account.
The sale of property worth more than 1 million rubles for housing and 250 thousand for other objects is taxable. Transactions between related parties deprive the right to a property deduction, and income from bank deposits since 2025 has been allocated to a separate tax base, to which social or property benefits cannot be applied.
It is impossible to make changes to an already submitted declaration - it is required to submit an updated declaration. If you disagree with the accrued amount, the department recommends contacting through the "Personal Account", personally to the inspection or through the service "Contact the Federal Tax Service of Russia".
