Sevmash assembled two sub-blocks for the floating dock "Sukhona"

The new structure will be able to lift 23.5 thousand tons. The structure will transport vessels between the slipway hall and the shipyard water area

Two sub-blocks of the middle section of the floating dock "Sukhona" were manufactured and prepared for joining at the OAK enterprise "Sevmash". The work was carried out in the shipyard's flooded basin as part of the construction of the hydraulic engineering structure under Project 02122.

The finished structures will be joined together at the end of May. The floating dock "Sukhona" is being built to support Sevmash's production program as part of the docking program of the United Shipbuilding Corporation with the support of the Russian Ministry of Industry and Trade.

The facility's launching capacity will be 23.5 thousand tons. With its help, transport operations will be carried out to move vessels under construction and repair from Slipway Hall No. 2 to the shipyard water area.

At the same time, other hull structures of the floating dock "Sukhona" are being manufactured and assembled at the enterprise. The hull-welding shop, the assembly-and-slipway shop, and the slipway delivery production unit are involved in the work.
