Koshchei Wasn't Finished Off Again: Russian RPG "Bylina" Gets a Release Date

The game will offer an unusual mechanic with two entities in one body

Slavic folklore reaches a new level — the action RPG "Bylina" from Far Far Games studio will reach PC on April 20. The developers announced the release date via Steam along with a new gameplay trailer.

Players will have to go to the Far Far Away Kingdom — not for fairy tales, but for survival. The main character, Sokolik, is a young warrior without any special merits who unexpectedly dies on a mission but comes back to life. True, not alone: now a mysterious spirit lives in his body. And this is not a bonus, but a problem.

From this moment, a double game begins: Sokolik tries to regain control of himself, deal with his new "neighbor" and, in parallel, challenge Koshchei the Deathless himself.

The world promises to be presented not just as "Slavic", but as contrasting: from bright forests to dark dungeons and castles, where each location looks different and lives according to its own rules. Enemies range from ordinary robbers to mythical creatures, and you won't be able to relax: the combat system is based on timings, make a mistake — get hit.

The arsenal is classic, but flexible: swords, spears, bows plus magic, leveling and changing equipment. In addition — crafting, puzzles and hidden rewards, so that there is something to come back for.

A separate point is the atmosphere. Here, the characters are not cardboard NPCs, but creatures with their own fears and history. "Bylina" focuses not only on combat, but also on the feeling of a living world.

Of the nuances — system requirements. The minimum starts with GeForce RTX 3060, which looks quite serious for a "fairy tale".

Release — April 20. Steam is already ready.
