The car factory in Kaluga is preparing to produce a new model — the Tenet T9 crossover. The assembly line is scheduled to launch in 2026. This was announced by the Governor of the Kaluga Region, Vladislav Shapsha.
According to the head of the region, the company is already adapting conveyor capacities for the production of the "nine" in the Tenet line. He previously noted that cars of this brand are among the leaders in demand in the Russian market. In 2025, more than 140 thousand cars of various brands were assembled in the Kaluga region, and the share of Tenet models in this statistic has increased significantly.
The production of Tenet T9 will be organized at the sites of "AGR Holding". Currently, the company already produces Tenet T4, T7 and T8 crossovers. The Tenet brand appeared in February 2025 as a joint project of "AGR Holding" and the Chinese company Defetoo. As previously reported by «First Technical», the model was developed on the platform of the Chery Tiggo 9 crossover.
"AGR Holding" is engaged in a full cycle: from assembling cars and engines to supplying spare parts and organizing service maintenance. The company's production portfolio includes a plant in the Kaluga industrial park "Grabtsevo", two sites in St. Petersburg (industrial zones "Kamenka" and "Shushary") and a logistics center with spare parts in Chekhov.
The launch of Tenet T9 will be the next step in expanding the brand's model range. It is expected that the new model will strengthen the company's position in the segment of mid-size crossovers, where there is currently a steady increase in interest from buyers.
