Mi-8s hid from the air defense systems of a mock enemy at a training ground in the Kaliningrad region

Helicopters of the Baltic Fleet's naval aviation performed flights at low altitudes

As part of training flights, the crews of Mi-8 multipurpose helicopters destroyed columns of military equipment and fortifications of a mock enemy. The maneuvers took place at a training ground in the Kaliningrad region, the Baltic Fleet's press service reported.

More than 10 helicopter crews were involved in the training. The servicemen used aviation weapons to engage ground targets at a distance of 500 m to 2 km from minimum and medium altitudes. Strikes were carried out on the ground using unguided S-8 rockets and cannon armament.

Also, the Mi-8 crews performed flights at low altitudes along specified routes, bypassing difficult terrain sections, practicing the element of covert movement from detection by the air defense systems of a mock enemy.
