Russian Aerospace Forces Launched "Soyuz-2.1a" from Plesetsk

The rocket put into orbit a spacecraft operating in the interests of the Ministry of Defense

The Russian Aerospace Forces successfully launched a Soyuz-2.1a rocket from the Plesetsk cosmodrome, located in the Arkhangelsk region. The launch took place on April 3 at 9:28 Moscow time. As a result of this launch, a spacecraft intended for use by the Ministry of Defense was put into orbit.

The military department reported that the launch was carried out by the combat crew of the Aerospace Forces, and it proceeded as normal. The device was successfully put into the target orbit, the flight parameters correspond to the calculated ones.

Earlier, on March 22, the same rocket was launched from Baikonur with the Progress MS-33 cargo ship. It delivered more than three tons of cargo to the International Space Station, including fuel, equipment and materials for experiments. The docking was then delayed due to a problem with the antenna, but in the end the ship successfully docked to the station manually.
