Russia's Strategic Missile Forces have completed large-scale command and staff exercises at Siberian training grounds. Crews of mobile "Yars" systems practiced deploying equipment to pre-determined combat duty areas and dispersing units in field positions. This was reported by the press service of the Russian Ministry of Defense, citing Deputy Commander of the Strategic Missile Forces, Lieutenant General Andrei Burbin.
During the maneuvers, the crews performed a range of tasks: they made long marches, changed several field positions, and overcame simulated contaminated areas. Simultaneously, issues of engineering equipment of positions, organization of camouflage and all-round protection were worked out.
Army aviation and drones of various types were involved in protecting the convoys from a mock enemy. Aerial reconnaissance made it possible to detect sabotage groups in advance on the approaches to the positions and neutralize the threat.
Units of radiation, chemical and biological protection practiced concealing equipment with aerosol screens, and after passing through contaminated areas, they carried out a complete special treatment of vehicles.
The military personnel successfully completed tasks on intensive maneuvering and mastering new areas of combat patrolling.
