Foreigners did not supply "Krasnoye Sormovo" with ship engines for 1.7 million euros

The court ordered the recovery of funds from the Dutch company Yanmar Europ B.V. in favor of the plant

The Arbitration Court of the Nizhny Novgorod Region satisfied the claim of the Krasnoye Sormovo plant against Yanmar Europ B.V. from the Netherlands. The instance ordered the recovery of more than 1.75 million euros from the defendant.

Of these, 1.5 million euros are unreturned advance payments under the contract, and another 188.7 thousand euros are a fine for late delivery of equipment.

The parties agreed on the supply of ship engines and equipment in 2021, but the defendant did not fulfill the contract. Prior to this, Krasnoye Sormovo transferred an advance payment, but did not receive the goods.

The court recognized the plant's claims as justified. Also, 200 thousand rubles were recovered from the defendant to reimburse the state fee.

The USC Krasnoye Sormovo plant in Nizhny Novgorod will become the base shipyard for the construction of river-sea cargo ships based on the unified "Platform No. 1".

For this, the enterprise will undergo modernization, which will ensure the transition to serial production using the large-block construction method.
