Sollers Launches New Production of 6-Speed Manual Transmissions

Modifications of the units became a development of the basic versions of manual transmissions

The Sollers Group has started production of 6-speed manual transmissions for Sollers SF5 and SF7 light commercial vehicles. The production of the units started at the industrial base of the industrial site of the Zavolzhsky Motor Plant (ZMZ).

The new modifications of the units became a development of the basic versions of manual transmissions, the production of which began in 2024 with the support of the Industrial Development Fund.

Albert Vazyansky, General Director of the Sollers transmission production division, said that the ZMZ site is developing as a Center of Competence for the production of power units.

In the near future, the company will also begin mass production of manual transmissions and electromechanical transfer cases for the updated UAZ Patriot, Pickup and Profi models.

The total investment of the Sollers Group in the development of the ZMZ industrial site since 2023, including the production of power units, transmissions and foundry projects, has exceeded 3 billion rubles.
