Novocherkassk Electric Locomotive Plant, which is part of Transmashholding, is completing another stage of production modernization. The company is launching a modern technology for painting locomotive bodies.
The existing areas are being reconstructed for the new paint shop. This will increase production capacity. It is planned to produce up to 700 locomotive sections per year. Currently, the plant produces 540 sections. The paint production will be equipped with modern equipment. It will allow controlling the surface preparation and coating application modes. The system will provide control of technological parameters.
The plant is simultaneously implementing two investment projects with the support of the IDF. The second project completely transfers the design of electric locomotives to domestic units and components. Modern technologies and equipment not only improve the quality of electric locomotive assembly, but also use production areas more efficiently. In addition, they make work areas more convenient.
