Amur Shipbuilding Plant May Build a Series of IRV05 Project Rescue Vessels

The Governor of the Khabarovsk Territory announced plans to build from four to eight units of equipment

The Amur Shipbuilding Plant, part of the United Shipbuilding Corporation, may receive a contract for the construction of a series of universal rescue vessels of the IRV05 project. This was announced by the Governor of the Khabarovsk Territory, Dmitry Demeshin.

According to him, we are talking about the construction of four to eight units of equipment. The plant is listed in the USC production program as the main contractor, but the final decision remains with the Federal Agency for Fishery. If the contract is signed, the company will receive a stable workload until 2031.

It is planned that half of the vessels will go to the Far Eastern Expeditionary Detachment of Emergency Rescue Operations, the rest to the Northern Detachment. The IRV05 project is being developed on the initiative of the United Shipbuilding Corporation, and technical documentation is being prepared by the Malachite Design Bureau.

The designed vessel has already passed computational tests at the Krylov State Scientific Center. Experts have confirmed that the ship meets the stated requirements for running, traction, seaworthiness and ice characteristics. These parameters are critical for operating in the harsh climatic conditions of the Far East and the Arctic.

The versatility of the project allows the use of vessels not only for search and rescue operations, but also for assisting fishing vessels, eliminating the consequences of emergencies and ensuring the safety of navigation in remote waters.
