Yandex Go electric scooters have started being assembled at the Moskvich plant as part of a pilot project with the Moscow Department of Transportation. This season, 2,000 new devices will be available to users, fully designed within Yandex and now also assembled in the capital.
The launch of the assembly was announced by the Deputy Mayor of Moscow for Transport and Industry, Maxim Liksutov.
At the test stage, the company will produce 2,000 scooters, which will be available to users this season. As Liksutov clarified, they are fully designed at Yandex. The company develops the devices within its own design bureau, which is responsible for innovation in transport services.
The electric scooters themselves are assembled using a large-node method from 118 nodes and components. After that, specialists test the electronics, check the functionality of the wheels and brakes, and then send the devices to the test track. There are ramps, speed bumps, and imitation of different road surfaces.
On November 15, 2025, it was reported that more than 71 million trips were made on electric scooters in Moscow during the season. In the same season, 68,000 accounts of underage users were blocked, mandatory verification was introduced, and the number of zones where the speed of electric scooters is limited increased to 420.
