A modern wheel-turning machine model TS912F3 has started operating in the Zuevka service department, which is part of the structure of the Lyangasovo-Zapadny depot.
The machine is designed to restore the profile of the rolling surface of wheelsets without removing them from under the locomotive. This approach reduces rolling stock downtime and increases the efficiency of repair work. The machine provides high processing accuracy thanks to a numerical control system that reproduces the geometry of the wheel without deviations.
The equipment was installed in several successive stages. First, specialists designed and prepared a specialized foundation, taking into account the weight and dimensions of the machine. Then, a power supply line of the required capacity was laid. After installing the machine on the base, it was aligned, fixed and comprehensively adjusted. The final step was calibration and testing, which confirmed the complex's readiness for daily operation.
