The Russian company Zavoz.pro has developed a special camouflage blanket for electronic warfare stations. The new product is designed to hide equipment from visual observation and thermal imagers of drones.
The outer surface of the protective blanket has a heterogeneous texture that allows it to blend in with any landscape, and a special structure of materials hides the thermal signature. The product has been successfully tested at the base of the manufacturer of drone suppression systems, Elektrokom-V LLC.
Testing has proven that camouflage coatings hide working equipment from detection in thermal imagers, without reducing the efficiency of the electronic warfare systems themselves
The developers clarified that electronic warfare (EW) systems are considered a priority target for the enemy due to their key role in countering drones. The main problem with such systems is thermal radiation: during the day they are masked by ordinary nets, but at night the working components heat up. For reconnaissance drones with thermal imagers, these hot installations become bright landmarks, which leads to their rapid destruction.
The engineers have provided for the possibility of adapting the canvases to various dimensions of equipment, including non-standard antenna complexes.
