The team of the 2GIS mapping service has introduced a new mode in the navigator - "Easy Route". The function is designed specifically for novice drivers and those who appreciate a measured ride without unnecessary stress.
The algorithm plots a route, avoiding multi-level interchanges, busy intersections, left turns and U-turns. The system also does not lead the driver onto high-speed highways with heavy traffic, where quick reaction and confident driving are required.
The new option works in conjunction with the personalized settings of 2GIS. In particular, it complements the "Route as usual" mode, launched in 2025: it takes into account the user's habits and offers familiar roads, even if they are not the shortest. If an alternative route saves more than twenty percent of the time, the navigator gently warns about this, but does not insist on changing the choice.
"Easy Route" is already available in 2GIS mobile applications for iOS and Android. The mode can be selected before the start of the trip or disabled in the navigation settings - the control does not require additional actions and does not overload the interface.
