Residents of Moscow became much more active in connecting to wired internet in the first quarter of 2026. Analysts at Avito Services said that demand for this service in the capital has tripled. Apartment, office and country house owners showed interest, so the growth affected residents of three main categories of real estate.
In addition to access to the network, users began to invest in the quality of the connection. The number of requests for signal amplification in Moscow has more than doubled. Setting up wireless routers became 74% more popular, and equipment diagnostics - 72%. Also, residents more often ordered cable laying, crimping twisted pairs and updating firmware.
Across Russia, the changes were more modest, but still noticeable. Russians were more likely to look for masters to strengthen Wi-Fi and reconfigure routers. Demand for connecting housing and work premises throughout the country grew more slowly than in the capital. Experts noted that at the beginning of 2026, interest in wired Internet steadily increased, but Moscow showed the most striking growth.
