Specialists from the company "Modern Technologies of Gas Turbines" (STGT) have for the first time mastered the production technology and manufactured an internal casing for the GTE-160 gas turbine. The unique product, operating under extreme temperatures and vibrations, is intended for the overhaul of the second unit of the Kaliningrad CHPP-2, "First Technical" was told at the enterprise.
Together with turbine blades, mixers and other equipment, the new casing will be installed during maintenance. Replacing these components will extend the turbine's lifespan by another 100,000 equivalent operating hours.
The release of the first sample is a crucial moment for the company. And given our plan for full localization of production, it becomes strategically important.
The product is made of a special heat-resistant material and has passed all the necessary tests. The equipment is supplied under a long-term agreement for the maintenance of gas turbines at the Kaliningrad CHPP-2.
