Russia has created the world's only multi-layered combined drone protection system. The system can be divided into several interconnected levels that work together, said Dmitry Kuzyakin, General Designer of the Center for Integrated Unmanned Solutions (TsKBR).
According to him, information from one level passes through all the others, transmitting data about targets and routes. After the targets are identified, the means of destruction come into play, Kuzyakin explained.
These are mobile fire groups that destroy drones with anti-aircraft fire, the good old "Pantsirs", FPV air defense crews and even army helicopters. In addition to strike weapons, there are also electronic warfare weapons. The drone can be "blinded", suppressed by an electromagnetic pulse, hacked directly in the air, flight assignments are changed or software failures are caused.
Kuzyakin added that fundamentally new air defense systems continue to develop on the move, although they are on duty and working.
