Frigate "Admiral Golovko" sinks submarines with one torpedo in the Barents Sea

Project 22350 ship practiced searching for and destroying submarines during exercises

The frigate "Admiral Golovko" conducted exercises to search for and destroy a submarine in the Barents Sea. The crew of the warship of project 22350 spoke about completing the task using only one torpedo.

According to the legend of the training, a conditional intruder submarine, played by a submarine of the Northern Fleet, was operating in Russian territorial waters. The search was conducted using a shipborne sonar system, which allows detecting and classifying underwater objects.

At a distance of about 10 km, the frigate entered a combat course. The calculation of the mine-torpedo combat unit prepared the "Paket NK" anti-submarine complex for use and carried out a practical launch of a torpedo at a conditional target.

We solved the task of firing with one torpedo. After the commander of the ship approved the solution to the firing task, my calculation successfully completed the firing. There was not a single failure of our complex. Thus, we confirmed that our torpedo complex is ready to perform combat missions.
Mikhail, commander of the mine-torpedo combat unit of the frigate "Admiral Golovko"

After the firing, the torpedo was lifted by a torpedo boat and delivered back to the base. The crew received a high assessment from the command for their coordinated work and successful completion of the task.
