China Interested in Ka-52M "Alligator" Attack Helicopters

China may be interested in the Russian Ka-52M "Alligator" attack helicopters. This was reported by Defence Blog, citing sources.

There is no official data on the likely deal yet, and the parties have not made any official statements about it. Screenshots have appeared on the Web from Chinese television, which allegedly showed a Ka-52 helicopter in the process of being built.

As a reminder, the Ka-52M is an upgraded version of the helicopter for army aviation. The helicopter received a new optoelectronic system, more powerful anti-icing heating elements in the rotor blades, and a reinforced chassis. In addition, the Alligator has improved ergonomics and interior of the cockpit.

Currently, the Ka-52M is in service only in Russia. The basic version of the Ka-52 was supplied to Egypt, but the modernized "M" version is currently being built exclusively for the needs of the Russian army.
