New KamAZ for UN Peacekeepers Surfaced in the Secondary Market

A truck in white color and with inscriptions in English was put up for sale in Tatarstan

An export KamAZ-43118 6×6 of a new release in a special version has been put up for sale in Naberezhnye Chelny — exactly the same as is usually supplied to UN missions. The truck is completely painted in white, including the flatbed platform, and all warning labels are in English without duplication in Russian.

Under the hood is a KamAZ V8 turbodiesel of a lower environmental class (Euro-2) and a YaMZ-154 mechanical gearbox. The package includes air conditioning and protective grilles on the headlights.

The car completely repeats the appearance of the equipment that is sent to international missions: the seller asks for 6.3 million rubles for a unique car.

KamAZ's cooperation with the UN has a long history. As part of the strategic partnership agreement between the government of the Russian Federation and the UN World Food Program, signed in 2014, Russia regularly transfers trucks as a contribution in kind. The equipment is sent to transport humanitarian aid to the most difficult regions. The auto giant has delivered hundreds of vehicles to Afghanistan, Ghana, Uganda and Sudan. Export batches included, among other things, KamAZ-43118 flatbed vehicles adapted to difficult off-road conditions: all of them, like the current specimen, were equipped with air conditioners and underwent special preparation for operation in hot climates.
