JSC \"Zelenodolsky zavod im. A.M. Gorkogo\" launched the hull of the third multifunctional ice-class tugboat. The vessel, named \"Oklan,\" was built as part of the Project T3150-ZD series. The work is being carried out under the technical supervision of specialists from the Zelenodolsk section of the Nizhny Novgorod branch of the Russian Maritime Register of Shipping (RS).
The tugboat \"Oklan\" belongs to the class of emergency rescue vessels. The vessel’s main task is to provide towing of non-self-propelled objects and floating structures.
The vessel is also intended for maneuvering operations in port waters, including berthing ships at the pier.
The design of the hull and power plant makes it possible to escort vessels in ice conditions. Escort speed reaches 10 knots. In addition to towing operations, the technical systems of \"Oklan\" provide for the following tasks:
- extinguishing fires on vessels and shore facilities;
- participation in search and rescue operations;
- elimination of oil and petroleum product spills.
Construction is being carried out under a state contract. In total, the Project T3150-ZD series includes five vessels.
