Smart semi-trailer unveiled by Gut Treiler: it monitors the load itself and reduces downtime during weighing

The new model has four SAF axles, a reinforced chassis, and aluminum wheels

The Gut Treiler plant (part of the Rosspetsmash Association) manufactured and shipped to the customer a coil carrier semi-trailer for transporting steel coils. The vehicle is designed for maximum efficiency and long service life under intensive operation, the company reported.

The platform length is 13.7 meters, and the coil well is designed for dimensions up to 8600 mm. The semi-trailer is equipped with a reinforced chassis and four SAF axles, two of which are lift axles with forced steering. The braking system is WABCO.

For precise load distribution, axle load pressure gauges and a control valve for the extendable axle are provided. Aluminum wheels made it possible to reduce the vehicle's weight and increase payload capacity. Internal platform dimensions: 2680 mm in height, 13,600 mm in length, and 2480 mm in width.

The development is intended to reduce downtime during weighing and ensure precise load balancing when transporting heavy coils.
