The fire-fighting drone \"Gruzovik M-500\" was tested at an industrial plant in the Sverdlovsk Region

The unmanned aircraft extinguished a flammable tank in 3.5 minutes during the exercise

Fire-tactical exercises using the \"Gruzovik M-500\" unmanned system were held in the Sverdlovsk Region. This was reported by the region's Department of Information Policy.

The drone rose to a height of 12 meters, conducted thermal imaging reconnaissance, and delivered extinguishing agent to the seat of the fire in a tank containing flammable liquid — one of the most difficult types of fires at industrial facilities.

Complete elimination of the fire took about 3.5 minutes; the system can be deployed in 5–10 minutes. The tests were conducted in conjunction with a ground-based compression foam unit.

This is the third stage of testing for the system developed by the company Laboratoriya budushchego. Earlier, the drone was tested at the Loginovo airfield and on a high-rise building in Yekaterinburg. Eight drone manufacturers operate in the Sverdlovsk Region, and the industry's development is being carried out within the framework of the national project \"Unmanned Aircraft Systems\".

\"Gruzovik M-500\" is a four-motor electric multicopter manufactured by OOO \"Laboratoriya budushchego\". Takeoff weight is 65 kg, payload capacity is 40 kg, maximum flight range with payload is 20 km, maximum altitude is 1000 m, and cruising speed is 28 km/h. The aircraft launches vertically and is equipped with an automatic return-to-home function. Dimensions: 180 × 170 × 50 cm.
