The new heavy multi-purpose unmanned aerial vehicle "MiS-150" will begin to be mass-produced. The device is being tested by the military, the design bureau "MiS" reported.
The devices from the new batch received a new engine and a higher capacity battery. Some of the power parts became lighter due to the use of computer modeling methods. In addition, the "MiS-150" received a modified digital communication module.
MiS added that a digital thermal imager was installed on the serial version of the drone for the first time.
Also, the drone is capable of lifting up to 25 kg of payload on board, which turns it into a reconnaissance and strike platform with the Metis-M1 anti-tank missile system (ATGM) and the 1PN86BVI thermal imaging sight "Mulat-115".
At the same time, the "MiS-150" is already equipped with two TM-62M mines for striking at fortification hubs. The effective range of the "MiS-150" is up to 20 km.
