Russian police have received a modern, combat-proven weapon that has already established itself as one of the most reliable and ergonomic examples in its class — the 9 mm PPK-20 submachine gun from the Kalashnikov Concern.
Relying on feedback from Russian military personnel, the concern's specialists promptly refined the PPK-20 design. Its tactical-technical and ergonomic characteristics were improved: the weight of individual elements was reduced, and the balance was optimized for easier handling during intensive firing. The changes also affected the ammunition lineup. The primary round remains the high-impulse 7N21 armor-piercing cartridge, but the weapon is compatible without any modifications with most domestic and foreign 9×19 mm cartridges.
The PPK-20 combines the reliability of the latest-generation Kalashnikov assault rifles (primarily the AK-12) with subcompact dimensions, making it ideal for police officers, special units, and security personnel.
